With over 30 years of passionate involvement in the equine world, Jackie has dedicated her life to understanding and supporting the needs of equine professionals. From her early days riding and managing stables to working alongside renowned equine experts like Chrissy Serio, Laurie Jakubauskas, Shoshana Altschuler, and Julie Oliver, Jackie has cultivated a deep appreciation for the intricate demands of the horse industry.

But Jackie’s expertise doesn’t stop in the barn. With 10 years of financial management experience and an MBA from Villanova University, she’s uniquely positioned to bridge the gap between her two passions—horses and finances. As the Director of Accounting and Assistant Controller for [solidcore], Jackie played a key role in driving the company’s financial success, contributing to its landmark $88.4 million sale in 2023.

Meet Finnegan, our Chief Chaos Officer! This spirited corgi, also known as Finn, Finny, or Mr. Corgi, is the life of the party and the ultimate mischief-maker. With a knack for annoying his mom, Jackie, and a heart full love for everyone he meets, Finn brings joy wherever his little paws take him. When he’s not busy causing chaos, you can find him dreaming of horses and plotting his next playful escapade. 

Meet Caroline Light! Caroline is a rising junior accounting major at the University of Lynchburg, where she shines on their NCEA team. She calls Evington, VA, home and trains with Memory’s Hill Stables, showing her incredible horse, Modelo, in the 3’3 amateur owners. Caroline’s passion for both the equestrian world and accounting makes her a perfect fit for HoofBooks!

Meet Sheridan Oshaughnessy! Sheridan started riding when she was 15 years old and never looked back. Anyone who knows her knows she spends most of her time at the barn!

She competes in the Adult Amateur Hunters with her horse, Cori, on the A-circuit. She is about to start her master's degree in taxation & data analytics at the University of North Texas.

Using her knowledge in accounting towards something she is most passionate about is a huge dream of hers. She looks forward to helping equine businesses with all things accounting!
 

Meet Devon, the newest member of the HoofBooks team! Devon has been riding since she was 6, training with Louise Serio at Derbydown and soaking up all the horse industry wisdom. She even repped the Penn State Equestrian Team before graduating with a degree in Health and Human Services.

Now a mom of two, Devon is taking a break from riding but staying connected to the horse world she loves through HoofBooks.
